This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 350ci L48 V-8 engine
paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is refinished
in two-tone silver over red upholstery. The exterior features the
revised fastback roofline with wraparound rear glass, removable
roof panels and 15-inch eight-slot alloy wheels fitted with Cooper
Cobra Radial G T white-letter tires, while power steering and
four-wheel power-assisted disc brakes enhance drivability. The
cabin is appointed with red vinyl and cloth bucket seats, a
color-matched dashboard, center console, door panels and carpeting,
along with air conditioning, power windows, a heater, a Pioneer
cassette stereo and aftermarket speakers. Instrumentation includes
a 140-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer and auxiliary gauges
for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, voltage and
fuel level. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a
Positraction differential, and the L48 engine is equipped with an
Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley four-barrel carburetor and an
HEI distributor.
