This AW11-platform 1989 Toyota MR2 is powered by a
factory-supercharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a
four-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The timing
belt has been replaced, the valve cover gaskets have been resealed
and replaced, and the air-conditioning compressor is new.
Additional service under current ownership includes replacement of
tires, tie rods, oil pressure sending unit, drive belts and
muffler, along with new engine mounts, front and rear strut
stabilizer bars and a new battery. It rides on 14-inch
teardrop-style aluminum wheels wrapped in 185/65R14 Pirelli summer
performance tires. Stopping is handled by four-wheel disc brakes.
The car was professionally repainted and ceramic-coated, and the
front clip is protected with paint protection film. The optional
Aerodynamic Spoiler Package adds a color-keyed rear spoiler, lower
side skirts and rear mudguards. Exterior features include pop-up
headlights, body-color rocker moldings, a clear plastic extension
over the rear window with Toyota script, power-adjustable side
mirrors and a quarter-panel air intake. The removed antenna holes
were repaired, and paintwork under current ownership included
refinishing the rear spoiler, front splitter, door handles and side
mirrors. Minor paint blemishes are present in the door jambs and on
the underside of the front trunk and engine lid. The interior has
been refreshed and features sport seats, power windows, air
conditioning and an upgraded stereo system with rear-view camera.
The original OEM stereo is included in the sale along with T-top
sunshade inserts, service records and manufacturer's literature.
