This custom 1987 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is powered by a 6.2-liter LSA
V-8 engine producing 625hp with GM controls, paired with a 4L80E
six-speed automatic transmission and custom Atlas transfer case
featuring Advanced Adapters and twin shifters for each axle. It was
the subject of a no-expense-spared frame-off rotisserie
nut-and-bolt restoration. The drivetrain includes a one-ton rear
differential and axle, three-quarter-ton front differential and
axle, Warn front hubs, Mag-Hytec rear-end cover, and Oliver HD
custom driveshafts front and rear. The chassis is equipped with a
custom suspension system with steering dampers, sway bars and a
3-inch lift. Cooling and performance upgrades include a custom
aluminum radiator, 4-inch polished intake, MBS stainless-steel
exhaust system with converters and a new fuel tank. Stopping is
handled by four-wheel disc brakes with new master cylinder and
brake lines. The frame has been sprayed with Line-X. The exterior
features all-new sheet metal, moldings, emblems, bumpers, mirrors,
wheel well liners, Nerf bars, custom trailer hitch, new windshield
and door glass, and new weatherstrips. Additional exterior features
include quad headlights, a 2-inch cowl hood, custom lightweight
pickup-style tailgate and a painted-to-match bolt-in roll cage. It
rides on eight-lug aluminum wheels wrapped in General Grabber
LT315/75R16 tires. It has a new white interior, including new door
panels and headliner, new vinyl floors, center console, Dakota
Digital dash, RetroSound Bluetooth stereo, new dash panels, new
wiring harnesses, new seat belts, new power window motors and a
main power cut-off with trickle charger. Comfort features include
OEM air conditioning from a Cadillac CTS-V using R134a refrigerant.
A soft convertible topper is currently installed, and the original
hardtop is included with the sale. CARFAX shows potential odometer
rollover on 12/20/2012 and Exceeds Mechanical Limits Title issued
on 04/15/2013.
