This 1993 Chevy Silverado 2500 is a very clean, very straight, rust
free truck that is considered a Light Duty version (6 Lug axles
from the factory). This truck spent its life in the Pacific NW and
the last owner spent a lot of money going through all of the
mechanicals to make a a reliable and powerful truck. It was meant
to be a tow rig for a camper he was buying, but it never
materialized. The miles on the Odometer are from when the new
drivetrain was installed and the rest of the truck was gone
through. The body and underside of this truck are super clean. The
Beige Metallic paint appears to be all original and shows fading
and patina but looks good overall. All of the chrome and trim
appear to be original and are still nice. The inside of the bed is
extra clean. It also has a nice aftermarket grille guard on it with
Hella Lights that are working. The underside of this truck is
really clean and we found no rust issues.
The interior is also in excellent condition. It is extremely nice
for a truck of this vintage. The seats, carpet, door panels,
headliner, dash, and dash bezel are all in great shape! The
headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. This truck has tilt wheel and working
cruise control. It has working windows and locks. It does have an
aftermarket stereo that works. The horn and windshield wipers work
and the heat and AC also work.
Mechanically this truck is top notch and it runs and drives
wonderful. The engine was replaced with a GM ShortBlock and built
to his specs so he would have more HP and Torque. We have all of
the parts receipts for all of the extras added to the short-block
but he could not find the receipt for the block. It is a 5.7L 350
V8 with a mild "roller" cam, GM Vortec Heads, aluminum air gap
intake, Holley 4 Barrell carb, headers with Flowmaster exhaust,
aluminum valve covers, and new distributor. The engine is tuned
well and starts easy. It runs strong. It has the 4L60E Automatic
Transmission that was rebuilt around 7,000 miles ago (have receipt)
and it shifts great. It is mated to the np241 transfer case and the
4WD works like it should. The rear axle is a Corporate 14 Bolt with
3.73 gears and a factory limited slip. It has the IFS front axle
with 3.73 gears. The truck was leveled and they added new shocks
and rear air bags. This is all sitting on factory aluminum wheels
with a newer set of Mud Terrain tires size 285/75/16.
