beautiful restored, WT engine, well-documented example that is in
excellent mechanical condition with only 32,000 miles! The GTO is
in excellent condition finished in Burgundy Red Poly over a
Parchment interior with a white power-retractable top. The engine
is the desirable original 389ci V-8 with Tri-Power paired to the
four-speed manual synchromesh transmission. The GTO underwent a
frame-off restoration to factory specifications and is in excellent
overall condition. This GTO is ready to wow at any local car show
and is a collector's gem based on its low mileage, excellent
overall condition and documentation! TheGTOwas assembled at the
Fremont, California plantinDecember 1965 and was originally sold in
Placerville, California. This GTO was oneof 11,311 GTO convertibles
produced for the model year.This GTO was built with the 389ciWT
CodeV8, optioned with the fourspeed fully synchronized
transmission,dual exhausts,deluxe wheel discs, special 7 blade fan
and fan clutch, chrome air cleaner covers, chrome rocker arm
covers, and the Safe-T-Track rear axle.Additionaloptions include
windshield washer & dual speed wipers, visor vanity, inside tilt
mirror,outside remote control mirror, door edge guards, soft ray
windshield, and back up lamps.A comprehensive frame-off restoration
was completed in 2001 to original specifications, including a
rebuilt engineandgearboxthat hadadditionaltransmission and clutch
refurbishment in 2006. The current ownerpurchasedthe GTO in 2007
addingabout7,000milesand meticulouslymaintainedthe GTO.The Pontiac
is accompanied by the original ownership manual, window sticker,
history card, maintenance records,and aspare tire. The Pontiac
wears Burgundy Red Poly paint (code N) with good gloss and depth,

power-adjustable drivers seat, deluxe steering wheel, center
console, dual horns, and fully functioning fan, heater, and
courtesy lighting.The cohesive interior presentation supports the
Pontiacs dual appeal for show presentation and enjoyable open-air
touring. The Pontiac is powered by a WT-code 389 c.i. in V-8 engine
with the coveted Tri-Power induction, rated at approximately 335
horsepower. The engine serial number is 633211 with WT stamped on
the front of the block and the casting number shows correctly as
9778789. Power is delivered through a four-speed manual synchromesh
transmission with Hurst shifter. This GTO has a Flowmaster dual
exhaust and an Edelbrock manifold with chrome valve covers and air
cleaners. The GTO has its original 3:23 Safe-T-Track limited-slip
differential, and the GTO has Delco Moraine self-adjusting drum
brakes for all four wheels. The tires are Hercules MRX IV
215/75R14. February 2026 inspection confirms the Pontiac remains in
great mechanical order. The restoration work and subsequent
servicing position the Pontiac as a strong-driving example that
