For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

INTRODUCTION: High end custom build. Looks like a show car, comfortable like a luxury car, handles like a track car and fast like a drag car! It has a binder full of documentation- build photos, literature and receipts. Includes detailed specs right down to the paint formula and even carb calibration spec sheet. Only 2,450 miles since finished.

EXTERIOR: This car features subtle yet extensive body modifications that create an exceptionally clean, modernized appearance while preserving its classic lines. Seams have been filled and smoothed, while exterior trim, marker lights, and emblems were removed for an uninterrupted, streamlined look. The rain gutters have been shaved, door handles eliminated in favor of remote entry, and the rear lower corners of the doors rounded for a softer, more refined profile. Both bumpers have been smoothed and tucked tightly to the body, the cowl vent has been filled, and even the jambs have been finished smooth - details that reflect a tremendous amount of craftsmanship. Custom mirrors, a cowl hood, and a rear spoiler add just the right amount of attitude. The stunning custom-mixed blue pearl paint is polished to a mirror finish and comes with the documented paint formula. All glass has been replaced with flush-mounted smoked pieces, further enhancing the sleek appearance. The stance is dramatic thanks to highly polished, staggered Budnik wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires - 188 up front and an enormous 2012 in the rear. Modern lighting upgrades complete the package, including electric headlight doors that open and close quickly, Halo running lights in the lower valance, and LED sequential taillights housed in billet bezels for a contemporary finishing touch. Subtle but extensive body modifications.

INTERIOR: Professionally crafted by Recovery Room and executed to very high-end standards with a tasteful, cohesive design throughout. Glove-soft leather is used extensively, covering the custom door panels, dash pad, console, and trim surfaces for a rich, upscale feel. The Recaro Sport seats are fully powered and equipped with lumbar support, and heating, delivering modern comfort without sacrificing style. The rear area has been boxed and upholstered to match, featuring two storage compartments and a four-point roll bar. Up front, a Fesler custom steering wheel sits on a polished tilt column, facing a Detroit Speed dash panel fitted with custom gauges. Even small details were addressed - the ashtray has been filled and smoothed for a cleaner look. A custom-built center console houses premium power window switches and a concealed compartment for the Lokar parking brake, maintaining a sleek appearance. The car is also equipped with an Intelligent Multiplex System, allowing many electrical functions to be programmed and controlled via iPad or iPhone. Painless wiring was used throughout, and a premium audio system with hidden speakers provides modern sound without disrupting the clean design. The result is a luxurious, modern cockpit wrapped in classic form - every inch reflecting careful planning and professional craftsmanship.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Power comes from a MAS Performance 427 cubic-inch crate small-block producing an impressive 600 horsepower and 580 lb-ft of torque (over $11,000 invested). Built on a World aluminum block, it's packed with premium internals including an Eagle stroker crank, Eagle rods, Mahle pistons, and a custom roller cam. Airflow is handled by AFR aluminum heads topped with an Edelbrock intake and a Quick Fuel 850 carburetor, while an MSD ignition system ensures strong, reliable spark. Custom headers complete the performance package. The engine bay itself is fully detailed and show-ready. The firewall has been smoothed and painted to match the exterior, complemented by billet hood hinges and fender supports. The front of the engine is dressed with March billet brackets and pulleys driving a serpentine belt system, along with a polished A/C compressor, alternator, and modern power steering unit. Braking is upgraded with a Wilwood master cylinder. Cooling is handled by a Be Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans and a polished overflow tank. Additional refinements include a Selecta-Speed wiper system and extensive polished components throughout, resulting in an engine compartment that is as visually striking as it is powerful.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is fully finished to the same high standard as the interior. It has been completely boxed and upholstered in matching materials, including the underside of the trunk lid, creating a clean, cohesive appearance throughout. A set of Fesler billet hinges adds both strength and visual appeal, while the battery has been neatly relocated behind a panel to keep the area uncluttered and show-ready.
The result is a trunk space that looks more like a luxury extension of the cabin than a traditional cargo area.

UNDERSIDE: This Camaro is built for both performance and precision, starting with a new Tremec TKO600 5-speed transmission, mounted on a TKO crossmember, with a McLeod flywheel and hydraulic dual-disc clutch. Power flows through a 3-inch driveshaft with custom u-joints to a Diffworks 12-bolt rear end featuring a 3.73 Positraction gearset and aluminum cover. The fuel system is fully custom, including a narrowed stainless fuel tank, while remote battery terminals add convenience. The suspension is fully modernized and highly adjustable. Up front, a Fatman subframe houses tubular control arms and QA1 gas-adjustable shocks, paired with precise rack-and-pinion steering. Out back, a Detroit Speed Quadralink setup uses Koni coil-over gas shocks, relocated upper and lower tubular control arms, and mini-tubs to accommodate the super-wide rear tires. The front and rear are tied together with Detroit Speed frame connectors, countersunk into the floors and fully welded for rigidity, and the frame rails have been modified for the wide stance. Stopping power is extreme with a premium custom brake system: up front, DynaPro 6-piston billet calipers clamp on 12-inch drilled and slotted rotors, while the rear features 4-piston calipers with matching drilled and slotted rotors. The exhaust is fully stainless with Magnaflow mufflers, completing a drivetrain and chassis setup that's built for serious performance and show-quality precision.

This isn't a Camaro with a bunch of bolt on parts from a catalog. This is a high end, professionally built custom car. Very tastefully done. It will turns heads and snap your neck! Comfortable cruiser too.
