performance 289 cubic inch V8 engine with a solid lifter camshaft
rated at 271 horsepower. The K-code engine option in early
production 64 1/2 and 1965 Mustangs was only available with a 4
speed manual transmission. That changed for the 1966 and 1967 model
year when an automatic transmission could be selected. While no
exact breakdown exists on K code convertible production for 1966
most sources estimate that fewer than 300 were built with this
engine and fewer yet with automatic transmission..This Mustang is
also equipped with a power top, center console, rally pac gauges,
styled steel wheels and double redline tires. The GT trim package
has been added and includes front fog lights with correct wiring
harness, rocker stripe, GT emblems on front fenders, GT gas cap and
trumpet exhaust. The Wimbledon White paint and black standard
interior match the codes on the door tag which also denotes the K
code engine and automatic transmission. It also features a correct
