This is cruising in luxury. Here we have a Silver Mist 1969 Buick
Electra 225 Custom. Polished hubcaps with whitewall tires and rear
fender skirts give this big Buick its classic presence. All of the
brightwork, moldings, and emblems appear correct and intact. The
chrome bumpers are solid, the black vinyl top adds a classy
contrast, and the front grille is in good shape.
The rear end is one of the more distinctive designs of the Electra
years, thanks to its unique brake light style. Paired with the
laid-back stance Buick was known for, this Electra makes for a
cool, easygoing cruiser that looks right at home on the
boulevard.
The black interior presents well and remains mostly original. The
front bench seat splits with a fold-down armrest while still
offering seating and belts for three passengers. The vinyl
upholstery and door panels are in good condition. New carpet has
been installed, and an aftermarket radio adds modern sound to the
cabin.
The factory style steering wheel shows light use, along with the
factory gauge cluster. The dashboard presents nicely with no major
damage visible. All glass appears in good condition, and the power
windows operate properly. The rear seating area and door panels are
also well kept, with Buick floor mats on both sides. Door jambs and
sill plates are in good shape, and the trunk is clean, carpeted,
and spacious.
Under the hood sits a430 cubic-inch V8 equipped with a Holley
Sniper EFI system. Power is sent through a TH400 3-speed automatic
transmission to an 8 rear axle. Stock-style suspension with new
shocks at all four corners helps this Buick float smoothly down the
road.
Fifteen-inch wheels with Buick hubcaps are wrapped in 235/75R15
tires. Front power disc brakes and rear power drum brakes bring
this Electra to confident stops, while a stock-style single exhaust
keeps the sound refined and true to Buick luxury.
