GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1957 Ford Fairlane
Gasser for your consideration. This wild street and strip-inspired
machine comes finished in eye-catching Maple Metallic over a Black
interior. Powering this Fairlane is a monstrous 460 cubic inch V8
bored and stroked to 477 cubic inch, paired with a C6 automatic
transmission featuring a reverse manual valve body and a 3800 stall
converter. Power is sent to the pavement through a 4:10 Posi rear
end. This Fairlane was the recipient of a meticulously built
frame-off restoration that began in 2008 and was completed around
2017. It features a Speedway straight axle front end setup with
Vega disc front brakes, ceramic-coated custom headers wrapped in
heat shield, a Victor intake, MSD ignition, high-volume oil pump,
deep transmission pan, and a 3 1/2-inch exhaust system with manual
header dumps. Additional highlights include a 3 1/2-gallon Moon gas
tank plumbed to the motor (non-functioning), factory gas tank with
sump, Holley Blue fuel pump, aluminum radiator with electric fan,
driveshaft loops, B&M shifter, Flaming River tilt steering
column, Auto Meter gauges, standard bucket seats, newer Jeep
headlights, Rocket spoke (Gasser) 15x4 front wheels, 15x10 steel
rear wheels, Firestone front tires, and aggressive pie cut cheater
slicks out back. This purpose-built Fairlane is an
attention-grabbing gasser that delivers both nostalgic style and
serious performance. Drive this one out of our showroom or have us
assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't
hesitate to call us with any questions or for more information.
The 1957 Ford Fairlane was part of Ford's full-size lineup during a
golden era of American automotive design and performance. With its
bold styling, pronounced tailfins, and wide chrome accents, the '57
Fairlane perfectly captured the optimism and horsepower wars of the
late 1950s. The platform became a favorite for drag racers and hot
rodders, eventually inspiring the iconic "gasser" movement of the
1960s, where modified Fairlanes dominated straight-line competition
thanks to their lightweight bodies and powerful V8 engines.
