This 1985 GMC High Sierra 2500 Diesel truck is a very cool, very
clean, low mile, original survivor truck that spent its life in the
Pacific NW. This is a 2 Owner truck and was a 1 Owner truck until
the the original owner passed away. This truck was loved and cared
for its whole life and we know the miles are original because the
2nd owner of the truck is the friend of the original owner. You can
tell the miles are original based on the condition of the truck and
especially the condition of the original seat. It is pretty cool to
find an old original squarebody like this. The body is clean and
straight. The Doeskin Tan and Indian Bronze Metallic paint cleaned
up nicely and looks great with only some minor patina. It is a very
unique factory 2-tone. It has the original bumpers with rear being
dealer installed and the front had a dealer installed warn winch
kit installed with a 9,000 lb winch that is still working. The
underside of this truck is super clean and we found no rust issues
anywhere.
The interior is in great condition and it is all stock. The seat,
dash, dash bezel, and door panels are all original. The dash is
original and has zero cracks. The factory Radio works and it has a
vintage CB that powers on and works. It also has a cool gun rack in
the back window. The only thing not original is the floor mat which
was recently replaced. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and
taillights are all working. The gauges all work. The horn, heat,
and windshield wipers work.
Mechanically this truck is excellent! It starts easy and runs and
drives great. The engine is the original 6.2L Diesel with factory
dual exhaust that is totally stock and runs strong with no issues
or red flags that we found. It recently had a new HD radiator
installed, new water-pump, new hoses, new belts, and the injection
pump rebuilt. It has the Turbo 400 Automatic transmission that
shifts great. It is mated to the np208 transfer case and the 4WD
works like it should. The rear axle is a Corporate 14 Bolt with
4.10 gears. The front axle is a 10 Bolt with 4.10 gears. This is
all sitting on a really nice set of factory steel wheels and
hubcaps with 235/75/16 tires.
