In the world of modern muscle trucks, many exciting models have
come and gone in the short time this niche has been around. One
such example is this 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS Supercharged.
With only 41,435 actual miles on its odometer, this black-on-black
SUV stands apart from the base truck with an SS-specific body kit,
with unique front and rear fascias, a body-color grille, and big
20-inch wheels, letting everyone know this is no ordinary family
hauler.
Inside, a center console separates a pair of power bucket seats,
while a four-spoke power-assisted steering wheel proudly sports the
SS logo on its center cap. Beyond that, a unique six-pod gauge
cluster features a 140-mph speedometer and a white-faced 8,000-rpm
tachometer. Dual-zone climate control, power windows, locks, and
mirrors, along with air-conditioning and cruise control, offer a
plethora of modern amenities. An upgraded AM/FM/AUX Pioneer
touchscreen, complete with Bluetooth, provides plenty of soundtrack
options.
For those familiar with the Trailblazer SS, it was not factory
supercharged. This truck has had its 6.0-liter LS2 V-8 engine
upgraded with a Magnuson Roots-style supercharger mounted to a
Volant intake manifold. That big blower takes the SS from a stock
390hp and 400 lb-ft of torque to a dyno-proven 510-horsepower and
476 pound-feet of torque. That prodigious power is routed through a
Super-Duty 4L70E four-speed automatic transmission, upgraded with a
shift kit, and sent to the limited-slip rear axle. Factory 20-inch
six-spoke wheels shod in wide 275/40R-20 Toyo tires wait to launch
this truck with as much authority as your right foot is willing to
employ at any given moment.

This 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS Supercharged rides on a
factory-style suspension highlighted by Bilstein shocks, while
four-wheel power disc brakes stand ready to scrub off speed at a
moment's notice. Only around from 2006 to 2009, the Trailblazer SS
wasn't around long, but it made an impression on many of us who
remember it fondly. This supercharged Super Sport rachets up the
fun and makes this truck even more special. If you've been looking
for a high-powered hauler, then this is the one for you. But don't
