This 1997 Ford F-250 HD is an XLT Crew cab Short Box Pickup that is
an extremely nice OBS truck. This is a Crew Cab Short Box which are
becoming nearly impossible to find. This truck came out of the
Pacific NW and has had quite a bit of work done to it. This truck
did spend the last 3 years in Michigan and only had 3,000 miles put
on it in that time. He was going to make it into a show truck but
he got sick and it never materialized. The body on this truck is
super clean. The paint is really cool in the color of Calypso Green
Metallic and it looks excellent. The last owner lived on a gravel
road so he had the lower portion chip guarded to protect it. He
also replaced the side moldings because the originals were faded
and they look new. The rest of the chrome and trim is original and
very nice. It has an aftermarket front brush guard with 4 PIAA
lights that work. The bed was Line-Xed when new and was colored to
match the truck. The underside is extra clean and you can still see
the primer on the floors. We found no rust issues with this
truck.
The interior is in excellent condition. The seats, carpet,
headliner, door panels, dash, and dash bezel are all original and
excellent. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn
signals are all working. The gauges all work. This truck has tilt
wheel and working cruise control. It has working power windows and
power locks. Working power mirrors. The horn and windshield wipers
work. The heat and AC work. It has an aftermarket stereo with
bluetooth that works. It also has aftermarket keyless entry with
alarm that is working.
Mechanically this truck is top notch!! It has a Jasper 7.5L 460 V8
with 10,000 miles on it (have receipt). It appears to be totally
stock with the exception of dual exhaust. It was a new engine that
was replaced because when the truck was being serviced the Tech
overfilled the truck with oil because he thought it was a diesel
and the engine threw a rod. It has the E40D Automatic Transmission
that shifts great. It is mated to the Manual Shift Borg Warner
transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is
the Ford 10.25 with 3.55 gears and a limited slip. The front axle
is a Dana 44 TTB with 3.55 gears. It has a 4 Inch Skyjacker Lift
with aluminum rims and Hankook Dynapro All terrain Tires size
315/75/16.
