Classic Car Addict is excited to present this all steel 1947 Ford
Deluxe Sedan Coupe with a 351 Cleveland V8 for sale in our Mesa,
Arizona showroom. As one of the first civilian cars produced after
WWII, the 1947 model continued to use the 1941, 1942, and 1946
tooling, but with minor updates. The 1947 model was noted for
having a less cluttered front grille than the 1946, along with
"Deluxe" or "Super Deluxe" trim, featuring horizontal chrome bars
and refined, integrated fenders.
The Ford has been refinished in Root Beer Brown and exterior
details include dual exhaust outlets, dual side mirrors, and stone
guards ahead of the rear wheels. Five-spoke aluminum 15" wheels are
mounted to Cooper Cobra Radial's 215/65R15 up front and 245/50R15
outback. Braking is provided via front power disc and rear power
drums. The front suspension was fitted with Mustang II and the rear
is leaf spring with shocks.
The cabin has been fitted with fully custom interior finished in
camel vinyl. Amenities include Vintage AC, power windows, tilt
column, front seat belts, Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo, and a removable
center console with cupholders. A leather-wrapped four-spoke Ford
steering wheel sits ahead of a body-color metal dashboard housing
VDO gauges that include a 120-mph speedometer, oil, temp, fuel, and
battery. The five-digit odometer shows 33,701 miles. True mileage
is unknown.
The 351 Cleveland V8 is topped by a single Carter four-barrel
carburetor and features polished accessories and an aluminum
radiator with an electric fan. Power is sent to the rear wheels via
a C4 three-speed automatic transmission to a 8.8 rear end.
The 1947 models were the last of the "old" Ford style before the
completely redesigned 1949 models were introduced, representing the
end of an era for Ford. Call Classic Car Addict today at
