Proudly embracing the principles established by Bruce McLaren's
original open top racing cars of the 1960s, the McLaren Elva was
launched as the company's lightest ever road-car, joining the likes
of the F1, P1, Senna, and the Speedtail as the fifth Ultimate
Series car to emerge from Woking. With its historical name derived
from the French "elle va," or "she goes", the car takes inspiration
from their original open-top Group 7 and Can-Am sports prototypes
such as the M1A, M1B, and M1C. Transporting enthusiasts to what
McLaren describes as "the razor-edge of driver engagement", the
open-air 800 horsepower Elva delivers a thrilling experience
described as the most agile McLaren ever created.
Crucial to the unique experience provided by the Elva, an
industry-first Active Air Management System (AAMS) was developed
using sculpted elements to guide high speed air over to the cabin
and afford passengers a turbulence-free zone for the driver and
passenger. Allowing for maximum comfort, the AAMS system channels
air through the car's nose from an inlet in the splitter and
re-directs it at a radius of 130 degrees in front of the occupants
for what McLaren would label an "oasis of calm" for the passengers.
Activating at speeds over 25 miles per hour, this system can also
be disabled for track-use, for which the system will instead
redirect air to the engine. In addition to the proprietary AAMS
system, the Elva also employs an active rear spoiler which can
function as an air brake or also in Formula One-style Drag
Reduction System (DRS) mode to cut drag and boost acceleration.
Powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with a flat-plane
crankshaft, low-mass reciprocating components and a dry-sump
lubrication system to deliver 804 horsepower. Equipped with a
titanium exhaust system, the Elva produces an intoxicating engine
note through its bespoke quad exit exhaust while full-time active
suspension and an electro-hydraulic steering work in concert to
provide the finest driving dynamics. With all systems working in
perfect harmony thanks to Proactive Chassis Control II, the pilot
is able to select from multiple different driving modes, from
sporty street driving to a full-blown track oriented
configuration.
Composed of just three carbon fiber panels, the lightweight
bodywork provides a clean, sculpted profile that is heavily
inspired by Formula One and represents the next chapter in the
McLaren design story. Embodying bold forms, clean lines, and fluid
movement, the Elva features a seamless transition between the
interior and exterior allowing for stunning proportions from every
angle highlighted by machined solid metal and carbon fiber
details.
This 2021 McLaren Elva is number 119 of only 149 examples produced
and is finished in Silica White. It has been heavily tailored with
over $60,000 in bespoke options inside and out, notably featuring
McLaren's 5-Spoke Super-Lightweight wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero
Corsa tires, Red titanium brake calipers, and MSO mirror caps,
mid-finisher, and Active Air Management System (AAMS). Without a
windshield to block the view of the Elva's cockpit, many of the
bespoke appointments of the Elva's interior are easy to spot even
without raising the signature McLaren dihedral doors. Its MSO Red
leather interior is thoughtfully contrasted with white MSO
stitching that seamlessly mirrors the exterior paint, along with
Galvanic Gray front and rear brightwork plus many bespoke touches
including MSO headrests, steering wheel center marker, binnacle,
shift paddles, and floor mats. The interior is further trimmed in
Gloss Carbon Fiber; a sophisticated reminder of the Elva's
track-focused philosophy and the carbon fiber MonoCage that has
underpinned all McLarens since the MP4-12C.
According to its clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this Elva was
delivered new in December 2021 to McLaren Charlotte and received
its annual services there. It was sold to the consignor in October
2025 and moved to Las Vegas where it continued to receive diligent
maintenance, with its last service completed in late November 2025.
Even on a diverse roster of all-start models on offer, the Elva
ranks as one of McLaren's most unique and innovative models to
date; brimming with both rich motorsport history and trailblazing
technology. Offered with only 276 miles from new, this
extensively-optioned example is at home as a pillar of any highly
curated supercar collection and atop the timing screens at the next
exclusive track day event.
