This is a gorgeous example of the rare 1975 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI
seven passenger limousine that has covered an incredible 12,000
miles (19,000 kilometers) since new. This is a time capsule and a
testament to the exquisite quality of materials and finishes used
by Rolls-Royce. This Phantom VI, chassis number PRH4836, drives
beautifully and can be exhibited at almost any concours event
worldwide. One of just 374 Phantom VIs produced for worldwide
production from 1968 through 1990, averaging a mere 17 produced per
year. This Phantom VI was ordered through Cornes & Co, Ltd starting
in 1974. Rolls-Royce took nearly two years to deliver this Phantom
VI, which was transported from England to Tokyo on the Cardigan Bay
arriving on March 25, 1976. The first owner was Mr. Buso Komuten
from Yokohama, Japan. Cornes & Co, Ltd was very discrete regarding
its customer, never mentioning his name until the final warranty
documents were required and issued by Rolls-Royce on June 10, 1976.
The total invoice from Rolls-Royce was 30,857 GBP. The Phantom VI
has been in the United States since the 1990s, becoming part of two
significant Rolls-Royce collections. By 1999, the Rolls was treated
to a full repaint in Claret metallic and is complimented by fine
gold pinstripes. The PPG base-coat clear-coat paintwork is of
excellent quality and is in beautiful condition today and was
performed by Classic Body Works in Peck, KS. The chrome and
stainless-steel trim are in superb condition. The original Lucas
fog lights, dual wing mirrors, and the special-order flag mast are
all in excellent condition. The chrome wheel covers have the
correct Claret trim rings with double gold pinstripes. The correct
Dunlap Fort 8.90-15 black walled tires provide the perfect
appearance and stature. Overall, the exterior is in concours
condition. The interior is completely original and is in excellent
condition, befitting a 12,000-mile original example that has been
well maintained in important collections. The rear passenger
compartment features its gorgeous original Beige leather (Trim Code
VM3234) and its original Beige Wilton wool carpeting (TRB.66). The
leather is soft and supple and shows little wear. The beautiful
burl walnut is featured throughout the interior and is cross-banded
veneers and is in excellent original condition. The center division
window is electrically operated, and the central cabinet houses a
color TV, DVD player and crystal glasses and cocktail items. The
Phantom was ordered specifically to have all major controls
operated from the left rear seat, which accommodates the intercom,
air conditioning controls, division window and the quadraphonic
AM-FM 8-track player. There are four reading lights that were added
from the factory, and the center armrest has its Rolls-Royce vanity
items including a mirrored compact and notebook. Two forward facing
opera jump seats make seating five passengers in the rear
convenient and comfortable. The front passenger compartment also
features its original Beige leather and carpeting, and the Phantom
comes with its original factory Beige mouton wool overlays. The
front seats feature factory leather headrests. The dash facia is
from the more modern Silver Shadow series and the gorgeous wood has
some minor cracks in the original finish. The interior is overall
in beautiful original condition and would be welcomed at any
concours event. The engine compartment features the venerable 6.2
liter V8 and mechanically the Phantom is in excellent condition
with its 12,000 miles accumulated from new. The engine compartment
has been beautifully detailed and is in show condition. The
four-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The special
order Fiamm Avanti air horns have a foot controller and still
function well (albeit very loud!). The Phantom VI comes complete
with a significant file of factory documents, letters and build
sheets, an Owners Handbook, a log of service performed in the early
2000s, operating manuals, various factory tools and more. For more
