Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1982 Porsche 911 SC Targa.
Finished in silver with an RS-style interior, this is a proper hot
rod subject to a recent no-expense-spared performance build - and
the result is one of the best SCs we've ever driven. Under local
enthusiast ownership for the last five years, work under present
ownership has included an engine rebuild to Euro specification,
plus a new clutch and rebuilt transmission (all within the last
3,000 miles).
Paint and body present well; restored Targa top. Custom ducktail
rear spoiler. 16-inch Fuchs wheels wearing Toyo tires. H4 headlight
upgrade and custom tail lights. Refreshed interior includes RS
carpet kit and door panels, plus Recaro sports seats with blue
tartan inserts and a Momo Prototipo wheel. All gauges are clear and
working; Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB matches the appearance of a
vintage 1980s cassette stereo but with modern bluetooth / USB / aux
input functionality. A/C delete for weight savings.
The 3.0 liter flat six was rebuilt with 10:1 pistons and Carrera
timing chain tensioners. It's fed by a Euro-spec large-port intake,
with a rebuilt fuel distributor, new injectors, and a carbon fiber
airbox with pop-off valve. New CDI box and all tune up items. Sport
exhaust with cat delete, SSI stainless steel heat exchangers, and
an M&K muffler. Full gearbox rebuild in 2023 with short
shifter, plus a new clutch and flywheel. A comprehensive suspension
refresh under prior ownership included new bushings and ball
joints, turbo tie rod ends, Bilstein sport shocks, wheel bearings,
races and seals, braided stainless brake lines, new rear axles, and
a Rennline strut tower brace.
We've been fortunate to drive hundreds of 911s (including several
dozen 911SCs) so we are intimately familiar with the performance
characteristics of these cars. The power delivery in this one is
among the smoothest and strongest we have experienced - it's an
impressive car to drive (we had a lot of fun making the driving
video out on the old Hutchinson Island track). Over $35k in
receipts under present ownership alone. Could not be replicated for
the asking price. For more information about this 1982 Porsche 911
