INTRODUCTION: Wow-killer looks is an understatement! Just 50 miles
on a frame-off custom build! A custom chassis with four-wheel
independent suspension is engineered to handle everything the 502
and 5-speed can deliver, putting the power to the pavement with
confidence and control.
EXTERIOR: It has the colors and aggressive stance everyone is
after. The body is solid with clean, rust-free metal panels, and it
features a functional cowl-induction hood with the flapper door.
The vibrant blue metallic paint is topped with a glossy clear coat,
while the white SS stripes are laid out to the correct dimensions
and add just the right amount of excitement. The chrome and trim
have been replaced, and both the windshield and weatherstrips are
new. Panel fit is generally good, with only minor alignment
variations typical of a classic car. It sits on 18-inch US Mag
wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Street Comp tires, with
extra-wide rubber out back for a muscular look.
INTERIOR: The white interior just raises the bar on the beauty this
car has. All of the upholstery, headrests, door panels, armrests,
headliner have been replaced. It also has new carpet on the floor,
a full set of seat belts and up front are upgraded to three-point
retractable belts. There's also an upgraded set of gauges that
light up blue, an electric slide heater control panel and a retro
stereo. The tilt column is home to a deluxe sport wheel and the
center console is home to a 5-speed SST shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: That's a Gen VI 502 making about 550hp powering
this beauty! It has a hotter cam, Dart high rise intake, FI Tech
fuel injection, HEI ignition and a set of Hedman headers. The front
runner system is full of polished parts and a serpentine belt
system. It features power steering and power brakes, the a/c system
is hidden down low and the hoses run behind the fender. It runs
cool with a big aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. The motor
compartment is all smoothed out, has a custom filler panel over the
radiator and is all painted slick. The billet hinges look slick and
operate smoothly.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted
gloss blue, it opens smoothly with a real sharp looking set of
billet hinges. Inside is all clean metal with a carpeted mat with
bound edges and Chevelle SS embroidery.
UNDERSIDE: Upfront has fat tubular control arms, coilover
adjustable gas shocks and a fat swaybar. In back is a Heidts Pro G
Independent Rear Suspension with coil over adjustable gas shocks,
tubular control arms and trailing arms. It has Wilwood 4 wheel disc
brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, 6 piston calipers in front
and inboard brakes in back, red calipers and an e-brake assembly.
The exhaust has a growl with a crossover pipe and Flowmaster
mufflers. The fuel system was replaced and is compatible with the
fuel injection. Looking up at the motor it has an extra capacity
oil pan and a high torque starter. The TKX Tremec 5-speed uses a
hydraulic clutch. A heavy duty driveshaft leads back to the 9 inch
Currie Twin Track rear end has 800hp 33 spline CV shafts and
optional fabricated steel center section. The body was off the
frame, the floors are clean metal painted gloss blue like the
body.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: This Chevelle has the unmistakable "it" factor-killer
looks, strong performance, and the right modern upgrades that
buyers are seeking today. The fit and finish are very good, though
not concours-perfect, which keeps it honest and usable rather than
a fragile showpiece. It's not a quarter-million-dollar trailer
queen-this is a car meant to be driven, enjoyed, and admired.
Wherever it goes, it's guaranteed to turn heads. Will you be the
one behind the wheel?
