Fisher Body Style 168 | Documented | Concours-Quality
Restoration
Cadillac's bold engineering leadership in 1930 is often associated
with its headline-grabbing V16 and V12 models, but it was the
V8-powered Series 353 that formed the foundation of the marque's
success. Combining smooth power, elegant Harley Earl-influenced
styling, and Cadillac's new synchronized transmission, the 353
remains one of the most usable and well-balanced Classic Era luxury
cars available today.
Offered here is a documented 1930 Cadillac Series 353 Convertible
Coupe, Fisher body style 168 - a highly desirable open model that
blends sporting character with all-weather practicality.
History & Documentation

records

The restoration was performed to concours standards, and the car
has matured gracefully while remaining exceptionally
well-presented.

metallic burgundy fenders and accents over a vibrant red body.

panel alignment.

Interior
The cabin is trimmed in cream beige leather on the seats, door
panels, and rumble seat. Upholstery presents beautifully, with only
light creasing on the driver's seat consistent with careful
enjoyment. The rumble seat area shows minimal signs of use.
Additional details:

mellowed

protection
The Convertible Coupe configuration offers the open feel of a

Mechanical
Power comes from the original 353 cubic-inch L-head V8, retained
per factory build documentation. The engine bay is correctly
detailed and authentic in appearance, featuring:
Proper intake system
Oil-bath air cleaner
High-compression cylinder heads
Period-correct accessories
The engine runs strong and benefits from recent servicing. Some
light discoloration on the porcelain-coated manifolds from normal
use is visible, but overall presentation remains clean and
tidy.
Cadillac's synchronized three-speed "Clashless" manual transmission
makes this car notably easier to drive than many contemporaries.
Combined with its smooth V8 torque and capable braking system, this
Series 353 is well-suited for touring, CCCA events, and concours
display.
