This car deserves a second life. It's never been in an accident. The ride is smooth and steady. You can take your hands off the wheel, and it drives a straight line. All the chrome, emblems, and glass are in good condition. The dashboard is excellent. It is an unusual body style for a Fury 111. It's called a fastback, and it gives the car a gangster look. In fact, I saw one used as a getaway car in a film once. Other than that, I've only seen a few of these Golden Furies. This car turns heads. I am the second owner. I bought it 42 years ago when we were both fresh and pretty. When my life took a downturn, I left it with a friend. It sat in his driveway for 20 years. The passenger side sat next to the trees and had some body damage as well as the piece beneath the back window. The top is solid. None of it leaks in the rain. However, I believe the front right panel, the apron under the back window, and maybe a door will need replacing. The right front corner was damaged when a friend backed into it. The rest of the car is still solid and could be repaired with bodywork. When I retrieved the car, I replaced the engine with a 318 from a Duster. Unknown mileage, but it's a strong engine. Good on fuel but gets up and moves when you ask it. I also replaced the rear seal on the transmission. The car has a nice soft rumble with dual exhaust. This car has been loved all its life. It's just waiting to shine again for its new best friend.
