Fed by a stock-style 4-barrel carburetor, the engine is in fine form, starting up promptly, idling smoothly and pulling with enthusiasm as the accompanying 3-speed automatic THM400 transmission runs through its gears with no issues. In fact, the driving manners on this Eldorado are pretty impressive on the whole. It tracks arrow straight, maneuvers easily via its power steering and comes to a stop with minimal effort, thanks to power brakes that feature discs up front.
