This is the first vehicle from the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection to have won the prestigious Ridler Award—widely regarded as the holy grail of custom car building and awarded annually at the Detroit Autorama.
Built between 1992 and 1994 by Fred Warren and Tim Novick of Warren Motorsports, with major contributions from Hot Rods by Boyd, this masterpiece also involved the legendary Boyd Coddington and his team. Power comes from a rare Hawks 406 polished aluminum V8 engineered by John Buttera and the Mr. Gasket Company. The car debuted at Autorama, won the Ridler Award, appeared on the cover of Street Rodder Magazine in 1994, captured the Al Slonaker Memorial Award in 1997, and was featured on Bitchin' Rides in 2025.
The Aero Coupe helped define the smooth, high-end 1990s hot rod style with advanced fabrication and flowing design. The body was completely reimagined with a chopped and lengthened roof, extended hood, suicide doors, stretched wheelbase, and countless custom panels, all finished in striking Electric Blue show-quality paint. Budnik polished wheels with modern Nitto tires give it a perfect stance, while hidden lighting and seamless details keep the look ultra-clean.
Inside, the custom Dark Tan leather interior mirrors the exterior’s elegance with a flowing dash, full-length console, billet aluminum accents, and a beautifully finished trunk.
