"The 1932 Plymouth Model PB stands as a testament to the ingenuity
and ambition of its era. Born from the fervent competition of the
early automotive industry, this classic car emerged from the
Chrysler Corporation's Plymouth division, ready to set new
standards in value and performance. At a time when the Great
Depression loomed over America, the Model PB offered a glimmer of
innovation and hope. Notably, it was the last Plymouth built with a
four cylinder engine before the company transitioned to six
cylinder powerplants, marking an end of an era in its lineage."

For consignment, a 1932 Plymouth PB couple showing 527 miles, but
the true miles are unknown. This former barn find has been fully
restored and now packs the heart of a Barracuda.
Exterior
When creating a street rod, there are so many color choices it will
make your head spin. They are all subjective, of course, but it's
hard not to love the selection here, two stage Charcoal Gray
Metallic which covers every bit of the body, including fenders and
running boards. This shade of gray highlights even the most subtle
of character and body lines and helps the louvered engine covers
pop as a feature of interest and is contrasted by black bumpers and
a black grille, topped by a mermaid-like flying lady ornament and
black Plymouth emblem. 15-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels
carry staggered size tires for a level but aggressive stance and
the polished rims complement the gleaming headlight buckets.
Despite our best sleuthing skills, no imperfections could be found
on the exterior.
Interior
Show quality doesn't take a break between outside and in and that's
evident with the clean, gray velour door panels and vinyl split
bench seat which looks barely used. The old school steering wheel
is a welcome feature and it leads to a black painted dash embedded
with SoCal gauges while a Mooneyes tachometer perches up on the
column. Black carpet covers the floor and surrounds the Hurst
shifter topped with more Mooneyes swag adjacent to the hand brake.
Up top, a clean gray headliner and in the truck, nothing but glossy
gray paint.
Drivetrain
A red block, finned valve covers, a chrome air element cover, and
heat wrapped headers highlight the engine compartment housing a
rebuilt 273ci V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor. It's backed by an A833
4-speed manual transmission routing power to the 8 " rear. Our
consignor states the car's wiring and radiator are newer.
Undercarriage
Clean and show ready underneath where dual exhaust runs through
FlowMaster mufflers, then turn east and west to cleverly exit
through the body above the running boards. Leaf spring suspension
is employed front and back and so are drum brakes.
Drive-Ability
We open the suicide doors for easy access and take our place in the
compact and comfortable cabin. The V8 roars to life and we shift
our way onto the test loop. The car has very good power, straight
tracking, and nice handling with the tall sidewall tires. We note
the horn does not work but all other functions perform as expected.
While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were
working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these
functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
