This week Canyon State Classics brings to market a beautiful 1972
Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe finished in Irish Green over Beige
Leatherette. This Ghia coupe was sold new at Norm Anderson VW of
San Jose CA and remained in the watchful care of only 3 reported
custodians since new. Power comes from a 1.6l air-cooled flat-four
engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This little Ghia is
largely original and even retains it's window sticker from the
selling dealer! As time goes on, these old and delicate examples
become harder to find. Don't miss out on one of the best on the
market!
The following is a list of options as this Ghia is currently
equipped:
-1600cc Dual Port Twin Carbureted
-4 Speed Manual Transmission
-Front Disc Brakes
-Leatherette Upholstery
-Full Carpeting
-Rear Window Defogger
-Heater and Defroster
-Day/ Night Mirror
-Glove Compartment Lock
-Electric Clock
-Vanity Mirror
-Optional White Wall Tires
The body on the car is straight and does not show any signs of
panel replacement, corrosion or sheet metal repair. The Ghia is
finished in L60E Irish Green and has just been through our detail
department for a full cut, buff and hand polish. Small chips,
imperfections and touch ups have been pictured in the gallery
above. All exterior trim, seals emblems and appointments are in
great condition. The car is riding on its factory 15" steel wheels/
caps that are adored with beauty rings and new tires.
The interior is finished in Beige Leatherette and is in all
original. The seats are all in very good condition and look
perfect, which is a testament to the ownership! The carpets are all
very nice are not worn or damaged. The dash is in excellent
un-cracked original shape (No Dash Cap wow!) and Contrasts the
seats to really set the interior off. The dash face itself does
have a crack by the radio bezel. All gauges and controls function
as they should. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work
as they should with exception to the clock which is inop. The
bonnet is nicely carpeted with at and trunk bonnet trim and
matching period correct spare tire.
Mechanically, this VW runs GREAT! The car starts right up and
shifts smooth as silk. A lot of time and money was spent under the
hood of this little Ghia. This VW was put through our shop for a
valve adjustment, valve cover gaskets, tune-up and oil change. This
car comes with a lot of receipts for maintenance and service almost
back to new. Its also extremely tight with little leaks to speak
of.
All in all, this is truly one of the coolest Ghia's on the road
today. This car can not be duplicated for my asking price, I dare
you to try. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved
by its previous owner. The car has a clean title. Any further
questions please call Jon at 480 703 2337. The car is located in
Sunny Tempe, Arizona.
