INCOMING INVENTORY.....--Imperial Maroon over Biscuit Leather
upholstery with matching Tan carpeting, 3.4 Liter DOHC six-cylinder
engine, 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, Factory MC optioned,
Award-winning restoration. Following up from the very successful
XK-120, Jaguar made various refinements to create the new XK140.
The same beautiful lines were retained with subtle refinements to
the bumpers and body trim. The engine was moved forward by three
inches to allow for far better interior cabin room and comfort as
compared to its predecessor, the standard engine was 190 horsepower
version of Jaguars 3.4 liter inline six. With the return of the MC
option (another 20 HP), power was further enhanced to a 210
horsepower output. Straight line performance was about the same as
the XK120, but the road holding had been vastly improved thanks to
the addition of rack and pinion steering, telescopic dampers as
well as larger brakes and advance suspension geometry. These
improvements made the XK 140 more comfortable, predictable and
enjoyable to drive. This beautiful XK140 FHC is a highly desirable
MC model, equipped from new with Twin SU Carburetors producing 210
HP at 5,000 RPM, dual exhausts and 16 wire wheels. Further
enhancements include a four spoke Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel,
PerTronix electronic ignition, Ron Davis aluminum radiator,
electric cooling fan and a spin-on oil filter adapter. This
XK-140-MC is offered with jack, spare wheel/tire, knock off hammer,
grease gun, Jaguar heritage trust certificate, history/receipts and
its original steering wheel. A stunning color combination in
excellent condition throughout, mechanically serviced and sorted,
this XK140 MC is a wonderful candidate for many of the world?s
prestigious vintage rallies. Also as comfortable for local,
weekend, seasonal touring pleasure as well as on the concours lawn.
