For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible in Georgetown, Texas

Vehicle Description

Correctly restored with standard transmission, two four-barrel carbs, high lift cam, high compression heads, solid lifters, etc.  This was the highest horsepower combination available in 1957 apart from the problematic fuel injection which was usually swapped out for a carburetor.  It has been shown a number of times in the Central Texas region and it won Best of Show multiple times, never doing less than best of class.  One of its Best of Show wins was at a several-state, Tri-Five Chevys only show (Lone Star Classic Chevy Convention XXX) where in addition to Best of Show against hundreds of Tri-Five Chevys it also won Best Convertible, Best 1957, and best Original Car.  I am told that it is one of the very few 57 Chevy convertibles with the correct stitching of its top.  It has a working Wonder Bar Radio (not sure if it is original inside or an upgrade but it works well).   All gages and the clock work.  The turn signals re-center after a turn.
This car starts and runs smoothly on the first crank (all owners, including me, have used only alcohol-free fuel).
I have had this car for several years and am now giving it up due to age (85) and health.  This was the car to have when I was in high school (graduation 1958) and it has been an honor to own it for some years.
