Chassis No. WP0AG2A9XPS252149
Sport Classic Limitation No. 0530/1250
Introduced in 2010, the 997-generation Porsche 911 Sport Classic
was the first Exclusive Manufaktur-built limited edition that
blended modern performance with design cues inspired by the
legendary 1973 Carrera RS. Powered by a 402-horsepower naturally
aspirated flat-six and offered exclusively with a manual
transmission and rear-wheel drive, the Sport Classic stood apart
with its carefully considered retro details. Praised for its
engaging driving experience and purity of purpose, it quickly
became a favorite among driving enthusiasts and Porsche collectors,
with desirability further amplified by a strictly limited
production run of just 250 examples.
After a 12-year absence, Porsche revived the Sport Classic model in
April 2022 as part of its Heritage Design series. Built on the
992-generation platform, the second-generation model evolved the
original concept while raising the performance ceiling
considerably. Using the 911 Turbo S as its foundation, the new
Sport Classic retained the Turbo S's 3.7-liter twin-turbocharged
flat-six but paired it exclusively with a seven-speed manual
transmission and rear-wheel drive, creating the most powerful 911
available with a manual. Peak output was lightly reduced to 542
horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque to protect the drivetrain, while
the removal of the all-wheel-drive system shed approximately 200
pounds. The result was a power-to-weight ratio superior to that of
the standard Turbo.
Supporting this formidable drivetrain was an array of advanced
chassis technology sourced largely from the Turbo S. Rear-wheel
steering, adaptive dampers, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes
(PCCB), and active anti-roll bars were all standard, along with
Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and Active Suspension Management.
These systems worked in concert to deliver exceptional stability,
responsiveness, and driver confidence, ensuring that the Sport
Classic's performance could be fully exploited without sacrificing
comfort or refinement.
Visually, the Sport Classic adhered closely to Porsche's tradition
of meticulous design refinement. While retaining the Turbo's
widebody proportions, it introduced a number of exclusive elements,
including a carbon fiber hood, a "double bubble" carbon roof
inspired by the Carrera GT and the original Sport Classic, and the
signature ducktail rear spoiler-once again referencing the Carrera
RS. Retro influences continued with the bespoke 20-inch front and
21-inch rear five-spoke center-lock wheels, a modern interpretation
of the iconic Fuchs design first seen in 1967.
Inside, the cabin was a carefully curated blend of nostalgia and
craftsmanship. Leather-trimmed seats featured houndstooth fabric
inserts evocative of early 911s, complemented by wooden dashboard
trim and green instrument backlighting that lent a warm,
period-correct ambiance.
On the road, the Sport Classic delivered compelling performance,
accelerating to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and reaching a top speed
of 196 mph. Yet its defining trait was its mid-range strength where
those in search of the best driving roads prefer to live. The
seven-speed manual allowed for relaxed 70-mph cruising at just
1,800 rpm, with maximum torque available from a remarkably low
2,000 rpm. Combined with a finely tuned chassis and nearly 550
horsepower sent exclusively to the rear wheels, the 992 Sport
Classic offered a uniquely engaging driving experience unlike any
other modern 911.
Just one of 1,250 992-generation 911 Sport Classics built
worldwide, this magnificent example, limitation number 0530, is
appropriately finished in the official Communication Color of Sport
Grey Metallic inspired by the early Pre-A Porsche 356's Fashion
Grey. Its interior is trimmed in Heritage Design interior Black and
Classic Cognac leather interior with Pepita houndstooth seat
inserts. This specially considered interior treatment is a visual
treat especially when combined with optional Burmester High-End
Surround Sound System, Inner Door-Sill Guards in Leather, Interior
Trim Inlays in Leather, and Ambient Lighting options as this
example features. Additional cost technical options include Power
Steering Plus, Lane Change Assist (LCA), Night Vision Assist,
Surround View, Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Preparation for Porsche
Dashcam with a full accounting of the build recorded on its VIN
Analytics Report on file and available for review.
Its clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report reveals the car was first
sold through Porsche Centre Kelowna in January 2023 before entering
the United States later that year in November with 52 miles.
Acquired by the consignor 2024, it features a scheduled 10,000-mile
service conducted by Porsche of Orlando in September 2024 and most
recently by the same dealership in January 2026 in preparation for
sale. At the time of cataloging, this 911, equal parts collectible
and one of the most engaging manual 911s of the modern era features
a scant 865 miles.
Blending exceptional yet accessible performance with meticulous
craftsmanship, limited production, and unmistakable Porsche
heritage, the Sport Classic ranks among the most complete and
collectible modern 911s. This particular example is further
distinguished by its Exclusive Manufaktur-selected Communication
Color livery, a carefully considered options, recent servicing, and
low mileage, making it a standout opportunity for those seeking one
of the finest Porsches of the contemporary era.
