For Sale: 1967 Shelby GT500 in Garland, Texas

This 1967 Shelby GT500 is beautiful, well documented, and show winning. It was purchased from us several years ago, at which point we examined it thoroughly. The current owner has taken great care of this car, keeping it in a climate controlled environment. With plans to move, he wants to sell a portion of his collection beforehand. The Shelby VIN and Ford VIN on this 67 Shelby GT are a match, and the engine and transmission were rebuilt to factory specs less than 500 miles ago. The factory options include a 4 speed toploader transmission, power front disc brakes, power steering, extra cooling package, courtesy light group, interior decor group, fold down rear seat, and a heavy duty battery. It is fully documented in the latest edition of the Shelby American Automobile Club ("SAAC") Registry, as well as by Marti Report (see "MartiAuto.com" for more information on a Marti Report). Over a 45 period, this highly desirable '67 Shelby has been cared for by four owners. At some point in its life, the original 428 P.I. block was removed and replaced with a 427 block, with components from the original 428 being installed on the 427 block. A subsequent owner replaced the 427 block with the correct 428 block, at which time the engine was rebuilt and reinstalled in the car. All of the original components (cylinder heads, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, timing cover) were removed from the original engine, rebuilt and installed during restoration. The engine block is a correct 428 Police Interceptor block with the correct casting, but not original to the car. It was restored in 2015 to the original Wimbledon White exterior color and has always been kept in a climate controlled environment. For the last several years, it has been stored in a plastic bubble, keeping moisture and dust away. The exterior paint is exceptionally nice, and the interior was replaced during restoration. It is in excellent overall condition. Shelby GT500's have proven to be consistently great investments. This example represents a great opportunity to own a piece of automotive art. It is available for inspection, by appointment. The car arrived from Ontario Canada in Dallas/Fort Worth on August 24th and is currently undergoing an extensive paint correction process, including ceramic coating.
