The E-Type (also known as the XK-E), is perhaps one of the most recognizable cars to have ever come from Jaguar and is often considered to be one of the most beautiful vehicles of all time. Following the car's annoucement in March of 1961, the car, which was available in coupe and roadster forms, received various adjustments over the first few years, most notably with an increase of displacement from 3.8 to 4.2L in 1965. Other adjustements improved the driving experience, yet kept the car's iconic styling.

By 1968, increasingly stringent U.S. safety and emissions standards necessitated a slew of updates to the car, resulting in the 'Series II' models. The original car's headlamps covers were removed and new wrap-around bumpers, larger indicators/brake lamps, and an enlarged grille helped meet the various goverment requirements. Inside the car, the addition of a steering lock mandated the ignition switch move from the dash to the steering column. New seats with head restraints not only met new laws, but increased drivability. Options such as air conditioning and power steering were made available for those who wished for a more "GT" experience. Overall, these cars offer similar looks to the original cars, but with targeted improvements that make them more comfortable and easier to drive.

The stunning 1971 Jaguar E-Type Series II 4.2 'OTS' Roadster featured here is finished in gorgeous Ascot Fawn over a Beige leather interior with a Black folding convertible top. This investment-grade Jaguar has had just one meticulous owner from new and is among one of the finest examples we've come across in years. This one-owner Jaguar has been beautifully maintained and still retains nearly all of its original factory paint. A recent comprehensive mechanical service has been performed, ensuring this spectacular example is ready to be driven and enjoyed. I personally believe the investment potential of this final-year E-Type Series II Roadster will grow beyond your imagination. Offered to the most sophisticated collector, investor, or enthusiast who appreciates this Jaguar's one-owner status and investment potential!
