1965 C-10 Short Bed Step-Side Restomod
This 1965 cab and bed have been joined to a 2000 Chevrolet. The 5.3 liter ls engine paired to a 4L60E automatic transmission and chassis are from a 2000 Silverado.
The truck runs great. The bottom of the 2000 Silverado cab was cut to match the 1965 cab.
The dash has the original gauge cluster. The only gauge unsure that is not working is the fuel gauge.
There is a converter box installed to convert the digital to analog of the speedometer.
There is an aftermarket heating and air system installed. This will require the heater core to be replaced as the install cracked the core. I have the replacement heater core.
The doors are new.
The bed side panels are new.
The tailgate is new.There was a 4" lowering kit installed.
The original bed wood was sanded, stain and epoxied.
The stainless-steel bed strips are new.
We have the original rearview mirror. It needs installed.
The wheels and tires are new.
The bucket seats are electric but need to be wired up to function.
The paint is Glen Green lower, Ivory upper. Both are GM Colors.
Front fender wells are all new fabrication.
Stereo and speakers are new and bluetooth capable.
Steering column is new.
Steering wheel is new.
Seat covers are new.
Door and window seals are new.
Radiator mount is new fabrication.
Front chrome grill is new.
Carpet is new.
New engine wiring harness.
The truck was recently taken to a local shop to be computer tuned and safety checked. All chassis and suspension bolts and fasteners were checked and tightened, Grease zikrs greased, 1 exhaust hanger replaced and all spark plugs replaced.TRUCK IS SITTING ON 17 INCH VISION LEGEND SERIES WHEELS WITH 205/50/17 TIRES. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY SOLID TRUCK THAT RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT AND GETS TONS OF ATTENTION EVERYWHERE IT GOES.
