1950 Chevy 3100 Pickup that was originally owned by the Barstow California Fire Department. It was purchased by a firefighter in 1963 and still retains the Black 1963 plates from that time.
This truck has had some restoration as needed over the years and a ton of mechanical upgrades by the previous owner who has cared for the truck since 2005. The Paint job is a very nice driver quality job on a very straight and solid body. No evidence of any rust repairs on this truck. The doors align very nicely as does the hood. Original rockers and floors are still intact. The front of the bed near the wood deck has some evidence of pitting but it is certainly not active rust and was painted over 30+ years ago. Still shines like a new truck but has lots of little scratches, chips, and a few dings from use over the years. Still very presentable and you would be proud to show it off at a car show.
In 2006 the 216 was replaced with a larger 235 engine overhauled by National Cylinder Head exchange in Orlando Florida. It has a hidden HEI electronic ignition and has been upgraded to a 12 volt system with Alternator. New pushrods and hydraulic lifers were added in 2021. The rear differential was rebuilt by Ace transmission and upgraded to a highway friendly 355 gear, you can cruise this truck comfortably at 60-65 no problem. Transmission was rebuilt By Brandon Transmission in 2006. All of the brakes were rebuilt in 2006 and just recently had a fluid flush in 12/ 2025.
Convenience features include electric wipers, turn signals with indicator, an in dash speaker with Amplifier you can plug your USB device into, vintage Air ac and heat that blows cold and was recently serviced. A four core heavy duty radiator with thermostatically controlled fan keeps the truck cool with the AC on in summer.
The Wood bed was just replaced and has new chrome slats, its beautiful.
Great driving, well sorted, and reliable 1950 Chevy 3100 pickup ready to enjoy.
