Supercharged 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible For Sale
This 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is a purpose-built C6
centered around forced induction, nitrous, and supporting systems
done the right way. Power starts with the 6.0L LS V8 backed by a
6-speed manual transmission and a fully built bottom end, using
Callies Compstar crankshaft, rods, pistons, and upgraded main and
rod bearings. The valvetrain has been addressed with a BTR camshaft
kit and bronze trunnion upgrade, along with ARP fasteners and a
high-volume oil pump to support sustained high-output use.
Induction is handled by a ProCharger Stage 2 D1X tuner kit paired
with an ATI dampener, feeding through a Nick Williams Boosted E
throttle body and a BTR NX direct-port intake manifold. Fuel
delivery is equally serious, featuring a custom C6 Li fuel system
with 775cc (74lb) injectors, extensive AN plumbing throughout, and
full E85 compatibility. The car is supported by a custom dyno tune
to tie the combination together.
Nitrous is integrated via a Nitrous Express direct-port wet system
controlled by a Maximizer 5 progressive controller. Supporting
hardware includes a standalone NX SAFE fuel enrichment system
dedicated to the nitrous setup, automatic remote bottle opener,
bottle heater, and a custom switch panel. Additional charge and
intake cooling is handled by a V2 water/methanol injection
system.
Cooling and reliability have been addressed with a C6 cutdown
radiator and upgraded fan assembly using a ProCharger-specific
cradle, Evans waterless coolant conversion, and a high-output
220-amp alternator with upgraded copper lugs and power cables. The
battery has been relocated to the rear using a Taylor 200 Series
aluminum battery box.
The drivetrain is reinforced with a McLeod RXT 1200 twin-disc
clutch, upgraded flywheel, Tick Performance master cylinder with
remote bleeder, 2-inch primary stainless long-tube headers, and a
3-inch stainless off-road X-pipe. Braking is upgraded with drilled
rotors.
Visually and aerodynamically, the car features carbon-fiber front
splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and an extended rear spoiler.
The front bumper has been custom modified for increased airflow,
and the hood has been modified for improved heat extraction. It
sits on 360 Forged three-piece carbon 20-inch wheels wrapped in
ExtremeContact Sport tires.
Driver feedback is enhanced with an A-pillar pod housing AEM
X-Series wideband UEGO and nitrous bottle pressure gauges, keeping
critical data in clear view.
Overall, this C6 Corvette represents a no-shortcuts build focused
on boost, nitrous integration, fueling, cooling, and drivetrain
strength - executed with high-end components throughout and
configured for serious performance while retaining the engagement
of a 6-speed manual convertible.
