INTRODUCTION: Magazine cover truck! Only 650 miles on a $175,000+
build! We have a thick pile of receipts, pictures and the Classic
Trucks magazine that it is featured in. The owner had the truck
professionally built and took it on a nationwide show circuit,
where he says "it did very well". He spent all the time and money,
take advantage of that!
EXTERIOR: 460 hours spent on body restoration and finishing! Every
inch of it is absolutely straight, It's all metal with zero rust,
the doors fit square and flush. It still has its functioning cowl
vent too. The fuel filler is relocated discreetly behind the rear
fender and it has a custom rear roll pan. Painted a beautiful
Mineral Gray Metallic, it's laid out evenly and polished to a glass
finish. Translucent ghost flames really give the paint life, subtle
yet impactful. Upgraded HID headlights and stainless taillights
with LED bulbs and hidden wiring. All new smoked glass, the windows
are even power. The bumpers have a unique nickel finish. That
perfect lowered stance is sitting on great looking Billet
Specialties wheels: 17s in front, 20s in back and they're wrapped
in Goodyear sneakers.
INTERIOR: Every detail was thoughtfully chosen, creating a high-end
interior that feels timeless rather than flashy. Genuine dark blue
leather was used throughout including on the custom door panels,
console and Recaro seats. It also has an upholstered lower cab,
headliner and visors. Down on the floor is Mercedes style carpet
and mats with leather bound edges. The instrument panel was
tastefully fabricated to accommodate the new gauges and knobs. The
tilt column has a beautiful Billet Specialties wheel and there's a
Kenwood touchscreen stereo that extends from the dash and includes
a back up camera. The battery is in the floor behind the seat and
has a disconnect, built-in battery tender, and remote
terminals.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Like the rest of the truck, the engine
compartment is uncluttered and clean yet still has a big wow
factor. That's a GM crate ZZ4 350 aluminum head motor cranking out
430 hp. It's upgraded with a Comp cam, polished aluminum Edelbrock
tunnel ram and synchronized dual Holley 4 barrel carbs. High atop
is a polished Hilborn scoop that matches the valley cover, breather
and valve covers. It uses an MSD ignition system and custom made
coated headers. Premium fuel lines and throttle cables were used.
The front of the motor has a Zoops front runner system with
polished billet brackets and serpentine pulleys, the Vintage Air is
a mini polished compressor, there's a polished modern one wire
alternator and a polished power steering. An aluminum radiator and
overflow bottle along with the big electric fan keeps it running
cool. Notice the hoses and wires, or lack there of, they are
concealed for a clean look. The custom firewall and inner fenders
were smoothed and filled then painted slick. Stainless hardware was
used throughout and it uses a great set of polished hinges.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside is finished better than new! The bed
floor was raised 4 inches to accommodate the modified lower
suspension. I love the machine turned stainless strips securing the
refinished oak wood boards. The tailgate latches are custom and
inside the box is finished as nice as the outside. Mini tubs were
installed to give room for the big wheels.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame and every single component
was replaced. The frame was stripped and powder coated and c
notched in back to be lowered over the rear axle. Upfront is a
Heidts independent suspension with polished tubular control arms,
polished coilover adjustable gas shocks, swaybar, rack and pinion
steering. In the back it has polyurethane bushings, lowering blocks
and springs. The brake system was completely replaced and upgraded
with discs in front, oversized drums in back and an e-brake
assembly. The ceramic coated exhaust has electric cut outs and
Flowmaster mufflers. The relocated fuel tank is stainless. Looking
up at the motor it is painted body color, has a high torque starter
and a chrome flywheel cover. The 700R4 overdrive automatic has a
2800 stall for a snappy tale off. In back is a narrowed Currie 9
inch rear with 4.11 posi gears and a polished center section.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: What a truck! All work was professionally done and is
documented. The meticulous workmanship speaks for itself
throughout. This magazine cover, international show truck is
detailed and dialed in. I think it's time for somebody to put some
miles on it, that somebody should be you!
