Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 27th year in the
classic and muscle car business. The Toyota Land Cruiser originated
during the early days of the Korean War when American forces
occupying Japan needed additional rugged vehicles (like their own
Jeep) as they moved into the Korean peninsula. The Americans chose
a different design, but Toyota continued development and in 1955
chose the name Land Cruiser for the early J2. This evolved until
1960 when the legendary FJ40 was born and the rest, as they say, is
history. With an international pedigree like a Land Rover, the
rugged simplicity of a Jeep, and a swagger like the old Bronco, the
FJ40 is like a greatest hits album of classic trucks! This stunning
1978 Toyota FJ40, once owned by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, is
without question the finest that I've ever seen. From its paint to
its chassis, there has been no expense spared (approx. $200K) on
this classic. Gaze into the pristine engine bay and you'll see the
beautifully detailed 4.2L I6 that's sporting a Weber carburetor, a
long tube header, HEI, and an aluminum radiator. Additional
features include power front disc brakes, air conditioning, an
awesome custom leather interior, 4-speed manual transmission, 4.11
gears, factory roll bar with custom padding, a Pioneer audio
system, and rugged 31x10.50R15LT tires on steel wheels. The frame
and engine numbers align precisely with its 11/77 production date,
indicating originality. The quality of this restoration should be
seen to be believed, but it makes absolutely no excuses. One more
gem from the team that can make your dream a reality. Street Dreams
