Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is proud to present this 1979
Ford Bronco, a beautifully restored example of one of Ford's most
iconic and rugged SUVs, blending classic styling with thoughtfully
selected modern upgrades. This Bronco underwent an extensive
restoration that began in 2019 and was completed in 2024, the same
year it received its striking two-tone repaint in Pacific Green and
Oxford White. As referenced in the photos, this color combination
seamlessly accentuates the Bronco's bold, boxy lines and timeless
off-road presence.
Under the hood sits a rebuilt 351 CID V8, paired with a rebuilt
4-speed manual transmission, delivering the raw, mechanical driving
experience that made these Broncos legendary. A Sniper electronic
fuel injection system has been added, offering major benefits over
a traditional carburetor, including improved cold starts, smoother
throttle response, better drivability, and increased reliability in
varying driving conditions, all while maintaining the classic V8
character.
This Bronco has been upgraded to be both capable and comfortable.
Vintage Air air conditioning provides modern climate control, while
power steering and power brakes make it far more enjoyable to drive
on today's roads. An aluminum radiator has been installed to
enhance cooling efficiency, along with a serpentine belt system for
improved reliability and reduced maintenance. During the
restoration, the master cylinder and power steering pump were also
replaced, reflecting the thorough mechanical attention given to
this build.
The interior was fully refreshed during the restoration, featuring
a redone vinyl interior complemented by new carpet, creating a
clean and inviting cabin that stays true to the Bronco's vintage
roots. A Bluetooth-capable radio adds modern convenience without
detracting from the classic look. Alloy wheels wrapped in radial
tires complete the package, giving this Bronco a confident stance
that matches its legendary capability.
This 1979 Ford Bronco represents an excellent opportunity to own a
classic SUV that has been restored with care and upgraded where it
matters most. From its eye-catching Pacific Green and Oxford White
two-tone finish to its rebuilt drivetrain and modern enhancements,
this Bronco is ready to be enjoyed as both a collectible classic
and a highly drivable vintage 4x4.
