Possible one of the nicest Highly Optioned, 1971 Dodge Challenger Convertibles I have ever had the privilege of representing, with a Big Block to boot this 383 V8 has plenty of power of your cruising pleasure, coupled to a smooth shifting automatic transmission, and loaded with convenience options like AC ,Automatic, Power Steering/brakes and Windows to name a few , you simply cannot go wrong here. I have enjoyed driving it while we’ve had it and taken to many cruise nights and its always a hit. It was shown at the La Jolla Concours D’ Elegance in 2017 .
It was later on display at the San Diego Automotive Museum during one of its Muscle Car Themed Displays to show of a Rare Example for the Mopar Brand. Take a look at its options list below, a few items I personally have never even seen are Factory Original to this car. Finished in its original color combinations this show winning example is now available for sale after many years of cared for a babied stewardship. Call David Young at 619-451-2130 [email protected]

Letter from Galen V. Govier to the owner back in 1993…
Dear Steve,
I have enclosed a decoding of your 1971 Challenger Convertible.
Also enclosed is a list of the Basic Car Prices/ Accessory
Groups, along with the list of 1971 Challenger production figures and MSRP Prices.
If you haven't noticed by now, your Challenger is the 100001'st car at Hamtramack not the 1st!
The 1st vehicle at that plant is 100001, from there it goes up and when it gets to yours it is 200001. That means there were roughly 100000 vehicles built at that plant before yours! They built Dusters, Darts, Valiants, Barracuda's & Challengers at that plant! Some people think that the serial number grew with the model, as if the 15th car built was the 15th Challenger, or it was the 15th Duster, etc.
But in reality, it was the 15th vehicle built at that plant! Not just Challenger's.
Keep the Faith,
Galen V. Govier
