Selling my 65 Fastback. It has a 351 Windsor engine with a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor. Transmission is a 4 speed toploader with a Hurst shifter. Car has aftermarket air conditioning, and electric power assisted steering. Disk brakes on front, drums on back, and new master cylinder. When I purchased the vehicle 4 years ago, it had a new gauge cluster showing 1200 miles on the odometer. I have put an additional 3800 miles on the car since buying it. Since owning it I have made the following improvements....
Engine: Replace the crank bearings and the connecting rod bearings, Replaced the hydraulic lifters, replaced the oil pump and fuel pump, new ford racing intake manifold, new motor mounts, new radiator, new electric cooling fan, new hoses and thermostat, new rear main seal.
Transmission: Rebuilt 4 speed toploader, new clutch, new throwout bearing, new pilot bearing, new slip joint, re-balanced drive shaft.
Rear axle: Swapped out 2.8 gears with new 3.5 gear ring and pinion, new posi-traction, new axle bearings and seals.
Suspension: new 800# springs, spring saddles, and shocks on front end. New QA-1 adjustable shocks on rear, new leaf springs. Vehicle has sub frame connectors, and slapper bars.
Interior: new HVAC control switches, new weather stripping on trunk and doors, new rubber seals on windshield and back window, new scissor mechanism and vent window rubbers on drivers door, new vent window assembly on passenger door. Stripped out interior carpet to verify rust free, and applied sound deadening to entire floor and inside doors. All gauges working properly.
This is not a trailer queen, nor is it a nut and bolt restoration. The paint has a few blemishes, but looks too good for me to consider re-painting. This car is solid and mechanically sound. I am in no hurry to sell it, so don't bother with low-ball offers.
