This Chevelle was built new at the Lakewood plant and was delivered
new at Warlick Jones Chevrolet in Cartersville, GA. Assembly was
completed in third week of February, with the drivetrain having
corresponding dates codes. The corresponding dates codes of the
engine are A2370, which translates to January 23, 1970 and the rear
end is code CCW with a date code of 0129, which translates to
January 29th. As you can see this Chevelle is not only numbers
matching, documented, but also is date code correct.
This Chevelle as undergone a comprehensive restoration. During the
restoration the paint has been refinished in the correct Green Mist
color with black stripes and is paired with a dark green vinyl top.
The car has a very deep shine. The vinyl top, moldings, and chrome
are all in great shape and shows well.
The interior of the car was redone during the restoration process
and was finished back to the correct metallic dark green. The
seats, headliners, and door panels are all in great shape. The
gauges on the car are in great shape and include fuel gauge,
speedometer, and a functioning clock. In addition there is a temp
oil and generator sensors. The car was also optioned tinted glass
and a rear defroster. The radio has been upgraded to a modern AM/FM
unit which also features a cassette tape.
As you can see this Chevelle SS 396 L34 is truly a remarkably
