Survivor Classic Car Services Chicago is proud to present this
tastefully modified 2016 Harley-Davidson Dyna FLD Switchback. The
Switchback was Harleys vision of a motorcycle that bridged the gap
between the full size touring bikes and the mid size Dyna platform.
Packing a healthy 103 cubic inch V-twin paired with a 6-speed
transmission, this Harley was made to hit the open road! Making the
Switchback stand out was a set of hard bags and windshield that
could transform the bike from a lean and agile bar-hopper into a
long-hauling touring bike.
This Dyna has been carefully modified to make it a more enjoyable
and core capable ride. A set of Woods TW-555 cams were fitted
behind a Trask windowed cam chest cover, as well as new adjustable
pushrods and black pushrod covers. On the other side, a variable
pressure clutch spring was fitted to keep the clutch grabbing tight
as can be, no matter the RPM! A Bassani slip on pipe was installed
after having the exhaust shields ceramic-coated, keeping the heat
inside the exhaust where it belongs. The front end was disassembled
and powdercoated "Black Magic" to modernize the look of the bike.
The rear shocks were changed out with OEM Lowrider S shock for
better handling and aesthetics. Up front a set of Progressive HD
springs were fitted with new fork seals while everything was apart
for powdercoating. Shinko 777 tires sit front and rear, making sure
the rider can put all the power to the ground. the factory computer
has been replaced with a Thundermax to keep everything running
safely and to make sure the maximum safe power is achieved with the
upgrades. A Saddlemen Step-Up seat with the optional Tri-Gripper
back and gel insert give a sporty look while increasing comfort for
longer rides.
Whether carving corners or chasing the sunset, this '16 FLD gets
the job done. The heavy thumping idle will keep you smiling ear to
ear. Harley-Davidson is synonymous with freedom, and this one
delivers!
