INTRODUCTION: Body off the frame restoration
EXTERIOR: Really outstanding fit and finish! Every inch of the body
is laser straight, the gaps are right on the money, the doors click
shut. Repainted in its refreshing and cheery metallic turquoise and
white. The paint has a mirror reflection. It's fully decked out
with all of the accessory trim which is polished bright. The glass
is really clear and weatherstrips were replaced. There's Halogen
headlights in front and blue dots in back. So all that 1955
nostalgia is merged with a fantastic modern stance and a set of 18
inch Boyd Coddington wheels wrapped in G-Force tires.
INTERIOR: The same refreshing colors inside and it's vintage charm
was preserved although there are some nice modern touches. It's
really immaculate inside! It has a full reproduction interior
including the door panels, window cranks, handles etc. The seats
were recushioned and reupholstered. Down on the floor it has the
correct tight weave carpet with reproduction mats. Up above, the
headliner and visors are in excellent shape. All the metal trim is
painted like the outside of the car, the gauges, knobs and all the
dash trim is beautiful. A few updates would be the original looking
steering wheel is actually a smaller diameter which makes it easier
to get in and out, the shift indicator has been updated to a three
speed automatic and that's a retro stereo in the dash with two 6x9
speakers in back. The air conditioning was actually incorporated
into the original style heater control panel and the vents are
neatly installed under the dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has everything you need under the hood! A
modern heat and a/c system keeps you comfortable. Upgraded power
steering and brakes make it easy to drive. The mighty 327 packs a
punch. It has a nice cam, aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb with
electric choke and is cranking out about 300hp. The motor runs cool
with an aluminum radiator and a big electric fan. The electric
wiper motor looks new. It's a good looking motor compartment with a
lot of extra chrome and polished parts, nice Chevrolet valve covers
and the metal surfaces are painted very neatly.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's completely finished off inside! Everything
is painted a smooth gloss white and it has a reproduction rubber
mat, seat back divider and weatherstrip. It's even complete with a
full jack and spare assembly.
UNDERSIDE: Wow, it's exceptionally nice under here too! The body
was removed from the frame during restoration and everything was
redone. The chassis was all prepped and painted semi gloss black.
The pristine metal floors were sprayed in the factory type red
oxide primer and then given some clear coat for protection. The
suspension and steering was gone through, front and rear sway bars
have been added and lowering blocks. The brake system was
completely gone through and it is upgraded with discs at all four
wheels and the e-brake assembly is even hooked up. It has a great
sounding dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The fuel
system was replaced including the tank. Looking up at the motor it
is clean Chevy orange with a chrome flywheel cover. The upgraded
Turbo 350 automatic connects to a rebuilt drive shaft that goes
back to a 10 bolt rear end with 3.08 posi gears.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: I really like this one! It's as refreshing and clean as
a bar of Irish Spring! Seriously though the fit, finishes and
functions are really dialed in. Someone will be very happy with
this one!
