INTRODUCTION: Very desirable factory Tuxedo Black! It has a very
fresh, highly detailed restoration. It includes an NCRS shipping
report, sold new to Jim McKay in Fairfax VA.
EXTERIOR: This the best looking skunk I've ever seen! Stunning
factory tuxedo black with the white SS stripes. The body is laser
beam straight and smooth all the way down to the rockers. The gaps
fit exceptionally well and the paint is polished to a very smooth
high gloss finish. It looks like all of the trim has been replaced
including the moldings, door handles, emblems, bumpers etc. The
vinyl top and weatherstrips were replaced. All of the glass was
even replaced! Brought back exactly to 1970 specs with T3
headlights and Firestone Wide Oval tires!
INTERIOR: From carpet to headliner it's practically a new 1970
Chevelle. Down on the floor it has reproduction mats and a center
console with the Hurst 4-speed sticking out of it. The bucket seats
have been recushioned and reupholstered. The back seat was
reupholstered, the side panels and headliner have been replaced.
The dash area looks great too. The deluxe wheel is on a tilt
wheel.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is a freshly detailed engine compartment
to factory original. It has a period correct 396 motor with all the
stock components. New correct chrome valve covers and air cleaner
set it off. Features include power steering and power brakes with a
cadmium plated booster. There's reproduction hoses and clamps, the
wiring is new and the washers are even hooked up. Everything is
very neatly painted too.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very clean and complete under the trunk lid and
the jamb is gloss black. Inside is all clean metal with a nice
spatter finish paint. There's a reproduction trunk mat,
weatherstrip and stickers. it even has a reproduction SS wheel,
Firestone and jack assembly!
UNDERSIDE: It practically looks like a new 1970 Chevelle underneath
this one! It's fully detailed and restored. It has the F-41
suspension which includes front and rear sway bars, and boxed rear
control arms. The dual exhaust has stainless Street Max mufflers
and correct SS tips. The brake system was completely redone and has
disc in front, drum in back and the e-brake assembly is new. The
fuel system was replaced including the tank. Looking up at the
motor it is clean Chevy orange and has the factory type starter.
The correct Muncie 4-speed manual trans and the linkage look fresh.
In back is the correct 12 bolt rear end with 3.31 gears. The
floors, inner rockers and braces are super clean metal painted a
nice, smooth semi gloss black.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: I know you will just want to stare at this beauty but
trust me, the real fun begins when you're the one behind the wheel
shifting those gears! Let other people stare as you pass them
by.
