Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette
Convertible. Finished in red with a black top and interior, this is
a very nicely restored, final production year C2 that runs and
drives great. Optioned with an L79 327/350 V8 engine, close-ratio
M21 four-speed manual transmission, power steering, power disk
brakes, and upgraded with air conditioning and a modern stereo.
Paint, in the original, correct-to-the-trim-tag color of Rally Red,
presents to a show quality over excellent fiberglass with no
observed surface irregularities or stress cracks. Bumpers, trim,
glass, lenses and emblems are likewise excellent. Factory 15-inch
wheels are wearing Toyo Extensa all-season whitewall radials. The
convertible top is in great shape and the rear plastic window
remains clear and soft (and all of the latch mechanisms for both
the top and the clamshell are working properly).
The interior also presents to a highly restored standard, with
renewed (and correct) carpets, door panels and seat upholstery. All
gauges, lights and indicators are working properly, including the
clock. A RetroSound stereo matches the appearance of the original
factory unit; two 6x9 speakers have been mounted in the rear parcel
shelf (which provide great sound quality without noticeably
altering the appearance of the cabin). A Hurricane direct fit a/c
system from Old Air Products affords modern comfort but without the
visual clutter of most aftermarket under-dash systems.
Under the hood is a date correct 327 cubic inch V8 rated at 350
horsepower (code L79) mated to a Muncie M21 close-ratio four-speed
manual transmission. Under local enthusiast ownership for the last
five years; fully restored under prior ownership, including
complete suspension and drivetrain overhaul. Starts easily and runs
and drives well - the chassis is particularly composed, and this C2
feels more "put together" than most we have driven. Sold on a clean
and clear Georgia title. A reproduction owner's manual is included
with the sale.
