1972 Ford F-100 - Built 390 FE - High-Performance Street Truck This
1972 Ford F-100 is a heavily built performance truck powered by a
390 FE V8 bored .030 over, featuring 427 C4 AG heads (ported and
polished) with Super Cobra Jet valves, 428 rods, roller rockers,
and dual valve springs. Fuel and air are handled by an Edelbrock
intake and 850 CFM Brawler carb, with MSD Digital 6AL ignition and
in-cab timing control. Performance upgrades include Hedman headers
with in-cab cutouts, aluminum radiator, electric fuel and water
pumps, high-volume oil pump, windage tray, 110-amp alternator, and
gear-reduction starter. The built automatic transmission features a
3,000 RPM stall converter, stainless clutches, and a TCI shifter.
Chassis and braking upgrades include a posi rear end, coil-over
shocks front and rear, anti-sway bar, and Wilwood power brakes with
6-piston front calipers. The truck rides on wide rear Mickey
Thompson tires and features a new steering column with Shelby
wheel, all-new Pro Comp gauges, and a fuel cell with electric pump.
