The Austin-Healey 3000 MK2 was the final roadster model produced that retained the flat windshield glass, sidecurtain doors and the open "wind in the hair" experience. It's updated styling with a vertical slat aluminum teeth grille gave it an expensive look. It was now the most powerful 6-cylinder production Healey to date with an exciting engine bay featuring an array of triple carburetors and 132 bhp.
According to it's BMIHT certificate, this vehicle offered for sale here was delivered new to Los Angeles, California on January 31st, 1962 (about 64 years ago this month!) in the original color combination of Ivory White with red trim, black top. It has been the subject of a high quality, total body-of-the-chassis restoration with photo documentation from a Florida owner circa 2015. It's current factory correct color scheme of black with full red leather trim brilliantly suits the lines of this Austin-Healey roadster.
