Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this 1984 Ford
Mustang GT350 Tribute.
This Mustang captures the spirit of the 20th Anniversary GT350
while delivering modern performance and street-friendly
drivability. Finished in Oxford White with maroon GT350 striping,
accented by a Cobra R hood, lightweight Weld wheels, and Mickey
Thompson drag radials, it commands attention as a heritage-inspired
muscle car with a contemporary edge.
Power comes from a 351 Windsor full-roller V8 that has been
professionally built for both strength and reliability. It is
topped with TFS Stage 3 aluminum racing heads, a high-flow aluminum
intake, and a ProCharger supercharger with intercooler that pushes
output to approximately 600 horsepower. Supporting systems include
an MSD ignition with rev control, a high-capacity fuel pump, and a
Ron Davis aluminum radiator paired with an auxiliary cooling fan,
ensuring consistent performance in all conditions.
The engine is backed by a Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission
with a short-throw shifter, a RAM clutch, and a McLeod
scattershield. An aluminum driveshaft feeds power to a stout
8.8-inch rear end equipped with Richmond 3.73 gears and
posi-traction, offering both street-friendly cruising and
hard-hitting acceleration when called upon.
Chassis and suspension enhancements further distinguish this build.
Hotchkis components, reinforced subframe connectors, and rear
stabilizers provide improved handling and stability, while the
braking system has been fully upgraded with larger rotors, fresh
calipers, and a new booster and master cylinder. The result is a
car that not only accelerates with authority but also stops and
corners with confidence.
Inside, the Canyon Red interior combines classic Mustang style with
modern comfort. The cabin is equipped with functional cold-blowing
air conditioning, aftermarket instrumentation, and cruise control
for relaxed highway driving. An optional police-style dash cluster
with a 140 MPH speedometer adds a period-correct performance
touch.
Weighing in at just 2,900 pounds, this GT350 Tribute delivers an
exhilarating power-to-weight ratio while remaining composed and
enjoyable as a street cruiser. It represents both worlds: a Foxbody
Mustang that retains its nostalgic charm while benefiting from
carefully chosen performance upgrades and modern conveniences.
This 1984 Ford Mustang GT350 Tribute is more than a nod to Mustang
history-it's a performance car that offers 600 claimed horsepower,
a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the comfort of cold A/C, all wrapped
in an iconic package that's ready to be enjoyed today.
