Gateway Classic Cars of Nashville is proud to present this 1968
Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396. Only this Chevelle has 100 more cubic
inches under the hood. This SS496 Chevelle looks sharp in what some
call arrest me Red, with black interior, bucket seats and center
console complete with Horseshoe shifter.
Under the hood, this Chevelle houses a robust Blueprint 496 cubic
inch V8 engine with aluminum heads that delivers 600 horsepower and
615-foot pounds of tire destroying torque. Paired with a TH400
3-speed automatic transmission, it offers crisp shifts and the
legendary longevity that Turbo 400's are known for. The power
exiting the transmission is routed to a 12-Bolt rear axle that
houses 4.11 gears and Positraction. Because two black lines are
better than one.
This SS 496 Chevelle comes equipped with a host of features and
aftermarket goodies to enhance your driving experience. All new
wiring throughout the car courtesy of American Autowire. Stay cool
and comfortable on the road with the aftermarket Vintage Air HVAC
system. Listen to your favorite tunes with the retro AM/FM
Bluetooth stereo that's paired with an amplifier and two 12-inch
subwoofers, all while enjoying the convenience of power steering
and power brakes. The Cragar S/S rims and BFG T/A's add a touch of
nostalgia to the overall look of this classic.
This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 should be the poster car for
the late 60's as it was produced in the middle of the muscle car
war of that time. What a wonderful time to be alive. The music was
great, you could drink from a garden hose without concern and cars
like this were everywhere. Here is your chance to own a piece of
your past, that car you always wanted. So download your favorites
from Three Dog Night and maybe some Rolling Stones and give me a
call. You have to ask yourself, if not now? when?
