fastback.
Ford derived the name for this full-size entry from the marketing
tie-in with the excitement surrounding the Space Race. With it's
streaking lines, starburst emblems, and tail lights reminiscent of
rocket thrusters, the Galaxie is the epitome of design in the
1960's.
Mid-year, Ford created the industry's first 1/2 year model by
introducing the "sports hardtop" also referred to as the
"fastback."
This Galaxie comes in beautiful Rangoon Red with a black interior.
The wire wheel covers add a nice touch of class. Powered by a
recently rebuilt Ford small-block 289 cu. in. V8, sporting exhaust
headers and dual exhaust, and mated to a console shifted automatic
transmission. A great boulevard cruiser, you will enjoy the ease of
