"Annie" - A Rare Piece of Automotive History
Step into the world of high-performance luxury with "Annie," a 2005
Panoz Esperante GTLM that is as rare as it is exhilarating. This
stunning vehicle is one of only four convertibles built in 2005,
making it a true collector's item. With its Black Magic Metallic
exterior and elegant tan leather interior, Annie is a masterpiece
of design and engineering.
Under the hood, Annie boasts a supercharged 4.6-liter V8 engine,
reworked by the JRD team to deliver an astounding 535 horsepower at
6000 RPM. Paired with a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission,
this powerhouse offers an unparalleled driving experience. The
aluminum alloy chassis and carbon fiber superstructure ensure a
lightweight yet robust build, while the performance tires and
custom 18" alloy wheels provide exceptional grip and handling.
Annie (the cars are given a name at the factory and they were
signed by the individuals that hand built them including Mr. Panoz
and all were given female names) was built in 2005 and is ONE of
only 26 Esperantes built that year. The premiere version of the
Esperante race car was the upgraded Esperante GTLM. Only 17 of the
26 were GTLM cars. Only 4 of the GTLM cars were convertibles of
which Annie is one of the 4.
Annie's history is as illustrious as her performance. Originally
designated as a promotional vehicle for the Panoz GTLM brand, she
was shipped to France for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and later driven
by actor and race car driver Patrick Dempsey in California.
Featured in "Road and Track" magazine, Annie has been on a
memorable road trip along the Gulf Coast, capturing the hearts of
automotive enthusiasts.
With 67,000 miles on the odometer, Annie has been lovingly
maintained. As a bonus, many engine components are interchangeable
with the Mustang Cobra. only a few of the 2005 GTLM cars were
selected to be up graded by JRD Tuning the custom shop that
specializes in custom/rally/race cars. Annie was one of those
selected. JRD increased the 4.6 L supercharged Cobra engine from
420 hp to 535 hp. With a completely carbon fiber body and built to
minimize weight, Annie is definitely a power house.
Annie is not just a car; she is a testament to the artistry and
innovation of Panoz. Whether you're a collector, a racing
enthusiast, or someone who appreciates the finer things in life,
this 2005 Panoz Esperante GTLM offers a unique opportunity to own a
