Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is proud to digitally present
this 1947 Ford Pickup, a vehicle that embodies the spirit of post
WWII 20th century American craftsmanship.
This 1947 Ford Pickup is finished in a green exterior accented by
beige details and is paired with a brown vinyl interior. Power
comes from a flathead V8 engine connected to a three speed manual
transmission, delivering a period-correct driving experience. The
truck rides on black 16 inch steel wheels fitted with 225/70
Goodyear Integrity tires, and braking is handled by four wheel drum
brakes.
Exterior details include black bumpers, black running boards with
step plates, a cowl vent, and a two piece windshield. Dual side
mirrors, turn signals, and dual taillights are fitted, while
Rooster Ridge graphics decorate both doors. A dual exhaust system
exits through Ford-branded exhaust deflectors mounted at the
tailpipes. The electrical system has been converted to 12
volts.
The dropdown tailgate opens to reveal wood plank bed flooring
separated by bright trim strips, along with a custom matching
storage box mounted in the bed. An additional spare tire is secured
to the driver side of the truck beneath a soft cover. These
features add utility while maintaining a cohesive appearance.
Inside, the cabin features bench seating upholstered in brown vinyl
and a painted metal dashboard. Instrumentation includes a 100 mph
speedometer flanked by gauges for amperage, coolant temperature,
fuel level, and oil pressure. Interior appointments also include a
glovebox, a B&B Deluxe heater, aftermarket speakers, and black
rubber flooring, creating a functional and straightforward driving
environment consistent with the truck's vintage character.
