The Mercedes Benz brought in sporty performance and added a
luxurious interior to come up with the 380SL in the early 80s.
These are nice grand tourer style classics and continue to be a
popular choice for classic car enthusiasts. This vehicle was
purchased by the current owner from an estate in early 2010. It was
then put into a private collection where it has remained since. The
car looks good and was mostly in its current condition at the time.
However, it has received some mechanical work professionally done
by import specialists and the 14 inch wheels have been refinished.
They are wrapped with Michelin tires and have a great shine. The
exterior does not show any signs or previous wrecks and has nice
bright Red paint with Black pinstriping. This is paired with a
Black cloth top and it also comes with the removable hard top.
The car is powered by a 3.8L V8 which runs strong with no smoking
or issues. This fuel injected motor is paired with a smooth
shifting 4 speed automatic, 4 wheel power disc brakes and power
steering. It is a nice comfortable driver and the odometer shows
41,392 miles.
The interior features all Tan upholstery and is in great shape. In
has stock high back bucket seats with headrests and 3 point belts.
They sit to each side of the original center console which houses
the shifter, various controls and the power window switches. It
also wears a lot of the original style woodgrain trim. It is mostly
stock but an Alpine AM/FM/CD/Aux/Bluetooth stereo system has been
added.
This nice Mercedes has a great look, runs good, and could be in
your collection without breaking the bank.
