Where do I begin? This RARE Z28 from 1998 could quite possibly be THE best in the country. Not just my observations but panels of highly regarded AACA judges seem to think so too. You are viewing an AACA Grand National First Place winner. Winning Senior Class in 2024 leading up to the top award in 2025. That's pedigree! How did this happen you ask? Well read on....
Ordered new in 1997 by a retiring GM executive, he kept the car and drove it sparingly until his passing in 2018. At that time the car had just 17K miles accumulated. The second owner, a close friend of it's most recent owner purchased the car from the estate. Again, drove it sparingly with only a few more thousand miles accumulated. It's third and most recent owner purchased the car in 2021 and as of today, the car has just 31,902 original, careful miles on the odometer. This Camaro most recently resided in Ft Lauderdale and has never been exposed to any foul weather.
A small fortune has been invested into what was already a spectacular car. A full front end PPF clear bra was installed on the full nose of the car, back to the doors at a cost of $2500. From there the car was completely ceramic coated at a cost of $1600. New, NOS GM headlights were procured and installed (We have the originals and they are in terrific condition and will be included.). Serviced almost exclusively at local GM dealerships. An updated replacement rear differential assembly was purchased and installed at a cost of close to $5,000. The originals are a weak spot on these cars. Summit Racing builds them with better bearings and races, ect. The A/C system was replaced with new, AC Delco parts as well and the A/C blows ICE COLD as a result. Four new tires, pads and rotors less than 2K miles ago. Want more? How about having Bluetooth connectivity added to the factory Delco stereo? Yup, it's been done! This car was, as you can tell owned by a very fastidious collector. Some might say, a bit OCD. When it comes to purchasing a used car, especially an older collector vehicle, you want the previous owner to be OCD. I'm a bit OCD myself so I totally get it!
How about that color?! It's called Mystic Teal and was finished on just 69 Z28 convertibles in 1998!! Yes, that makes this one quite rare and eye catching! The paint flip flops from blue to metallic green just by light and angle change. IT'S STRIKING! The 16" factory chrome wheels set the color off fabulously. Does it get any better? Yup...
Look at the engine, trunk, interior and undercarriage pictures. Virtually FLAWLESS. I'll let the pictures (and YouTube video speak for itself.)
So if you are a bit OCD like us and want the best of the best, you just found it. Nothing to do on this one but feel proud and thank the last guy(s) for his (their) impeccable care and upkeep!
Check out the gallery of photos, they hardly do the car justice. Then watch my YouTube walk around video. I have A LOT more pictures I can share as well! I'd be happy to share the link. Need transport or financing? I can hook you up with those as well.
